Signal One 1996 Catalogue
One of my roles at Signal One was to design the sales catalogue. Each year in March, Signal One would release a new annual catalogue.
The objective of a March release was to enable police, security and customers to receive it and purchase before the end of the Australian tax year (June).
This is the final catalogue that I designed, laid out and produced before the company was acquired by the Winning Group in Sydney who still operates the company today.
You can download a recreated version of the catalogue HERE. It is obviously out-of-date but I present it here to show the design and marketing approach I took in building the business. Each catalogue was highly successful in terms of communication with customers and building the database.
I found an old Iomega zip drive (remember those) and discovered it had some of the graphic files and the layout of the draft catalogue in Quark Express v3. I’ve spent many months (when I get a moment) converting files to Adobe Indesign and recreating fonts, layout and colours as I remembered them. The order forms and other information have been lost.
The original files are still with the current owner but the presentation here is, as I said, to illustrate the marketing value of a sales catalogue - before the advent of the internet!
