Apple Launches iPad - enters tablet computing market segment to mixed reaction.

In San Francisco Apple announced the new iPad - Steve Jobs made the "special announcement" at the Moscone Centre in downtown San Francisco 27-Jan-2010 (PST). Reactions have been mixed and these are our early thoughts on the latest product to join the Apple family.

Death: Private (PTE) Benjamin RANUADO. Killed in Action (KIA) 18-July-2009

Private Benjamin RANAUDO, serving with the Mentoring and Reconstruction Task Force (MRTF2) of the 1st Battalion Battle Group of the Royal Australian Regiment (1 RAR BG) has been killed in action in Tarin Kowt, Afghanistan. He was 22.

The recalcitrant stupidity of Wall Street Bankers

04-Jan-2009 Private (PTE) Gregory Michael SHER, 30, has been Killed in Action (KIA) during a hostile rocket/missile bombardment on the provincial patrol base in Oruzgan province, Afghanistan where he was stationed.

Private Sher belonged to the Australian 1st Commando Regiment and was serving with Special Operations Task Group. He and his partner lived in Sydney.

Lt Fussell was Killed in Action (KIA) by Taliban insurgents using an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) which was detonated whilst Fussell and his troops were conducting a dismounted foot patrol in the Oruzgan province, Afghanistan.

Renting and how to rent in Sydney Australia. Post for the returning expatriate and common pitfalls, issues and what you need to rent. Renting in Sydney is very difficult. Whilst not as difficult as 2007 or when rents peaked in June 2008, but with an acute shortage of rental properties, - particularly at the lower end of the market - landlords are getting brutal about who they pick and choose.

For the returning expat, finding a place to live is not easy and there are plenty of hoops to jump through as our family is finding out.
